THE EAT LOCAL WINTER CHALLENGE!

Please read this information about the challenge and then click on the button below to sign up.

Do you know where your food comes from?  How many miles did it travel?  Was it grown, processed, and transported in a sustainable manner?  Do you really need the glass of orange juice and the banana on your cereal each morning?   Find the answers to these questions by taking The Eat Local Challenge.

This year's challenge will take place in September.

If you can't do the entire month, consider these 2 options as you sign up: reduce the time frame (instead of 1 month, do a week or two) or reduce the % of local foods your are committed to eating.  If you want to do the entire month, sign up for 1 week and 100%.

Note that the Marco-Polo exception (salt/pepper/spices/leavening agents) is a default exception for everyone this year.  You don't need to sign up for it.  (Last year, nearly all participants took this exception).

Also, there are a few communication options at the bottom of the sign up sheet.  We hope that you sign up for all 3.  You can always opt out later if you don't like the e-mails or feel your privacy is at risk.

Finally, remember that local food is defined as food grown, harvested, and processed in Vermont or within a 100 miles of your home.
